I'm a rocker. I rock out.

(I totally sniffled at the end. All hail the empty office, baby.)

As it got closer to the doggage, I started tearing up. Took me a minute to figure out who the blond in non-polo dress was, then I realized it was the new owner and I was like OHHHHH OMG THE DOG IS HERE HE'S HERE HE'S GOING HOME SOMEONE IS RINGING A BELL FOR HIM AND HIS OWNER IS TEARING UP TOO AND MY FEELINGS ARE RUNNING DOWN MY FACE NOW!

Thank goodness no one was in the office.

Do they do this for every adoption? 0.o. Very cute.

I'm not sure they do the full dance, but I'm pretty sure the bell happens every time. Actually who knows? Maybe they do some kind of dance, however small, each time an animal gets adopted.

I like that idea. That's the idea I'm going to go with.

It is pretty awesome. Maybe it attracts more adopters?

I hope so. It is kind of nice to think that if you find your next pet at that particular shelter, someone will ring a bell for the two of you. More shelters should do it. It's a bell-ringing kind of moment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

And love the video. Last time I went to PetSmart for petfood, the Humane Society had been having an animal program set up out front but were packing up to leave. A cage of puppies were all excited, jumping around and yipping, 'We're riding in the car again!!!' An older dog is sitting by them in a separate cage w. the saddest look on his face, as if he was thinking 'Poor little guys don't have any idea what it means when you're not adopted.' There were several empty cages being loaded so they had had some success. I wanted to take all the puppies and the sad dog home w. me of course despite our strained budget. I was almost in tears as I bought food for our 6 cats and Lucy the dawg. The group had gone by the time I left, I was sad but a bit relieved bc looking at the sad older dog was killing me.
